Cactus Cake for Relay for Life

A friend asked me to make a cake that will be auctioned off tonight at the Relay for Life Rally.  Her father passed away from cancer and one of his loves was his cactus.  So, I made a cactus cake with a purple flower as purple is the official color for Relay for Life.  Hope they like it.

Large Cactus:  

White Almond Sour Cream Cake baked in Sports Ball Cake Pan and 

frosted with buttercream frosting (tip 33); thorns made from royal frosting.  

Purple Flower: fondant steamed and sprayed with silver lustre.
